GOOFYFOOT GIRL, a lifestyle romantic comedy set among the Orange County surfing scene during an “endless summer” of good waves and good vibes, has been praised for its “insanely unique” art and “a great feel-good read” (don’t believe us? Check out the reviews below!).
The heroine, Suki Leiber, is a whimsical eighteen year old girl who subtly exerts a powerful influence for good in the lives of those around her, never by interfering but by helping shape and guide events for the best without being obvious about it. Being left-handed, she’s nicknamed Goofyfoot Gurl because she favors the “goofyfoot” (i.e., left-handed) stance on her surfboard.
Suki’s two best girl friends are Chardonnay and Pooja. Scott is Suki’s best male friend though Joplin also hangs with her crowd. There is also a mysterious yet romantic young man nicknamed The Goth who shares an almost “Beauty and the Beast/Phantom of the Opera” type relationship with Suki.
Suki’s dolphin friend is Delphine, whom she frequently interacts with while surfing.
